Father's Day & More Puppy Love

We had a nice Father's Day with my Dad, all he asked was that we let him watch the US Open which we did more or less!! He is a great Dad, and I can't imagine raising Madalynn or keeping up with the house without him.  I depend on him & my Mom so much, and am thankful for the gift I have in them.  (Just as an aside I'd like to say my prayers were with anyone yesterday who is missing a Dad this Father's Day, I know days like this are hard).

Madalynn was having a bad hair day...I need to cut it again...

PUPPY LUV!!  She LOOOOVES this puppy... she lets her nip at her, climb all over her, run at her etc.  I am so excited because I think they're going to be best buddies!!

 

 

 

 

I heart faces

Okay...my friend Char talks about posting her photos on this I ♥ Faces website/contest.  Well, I've decided to join this week (I have one hour until their deadline).  This weeks challenge is a sepia toned photo & it has to have a face.

More Puppy Love...

Yesterday we celebrated my nephew's 8th birthday!!  Happy Birthday to my favorite guy in the whole world!!

Chatham came to the party,  and behaved so well.  She is such a sweet little dog & I can't wait to spend some more time with her.  Madalynn tends to smother love on her a bit too much, but we're working on it.  In fact this morning I was showing her the pictures on my computer that  I took yesterday, and one of Chatham came up & she hugged the monitor.

 

I really have no comment on this picture of my Dad...it speaks for itself....

My nephew got this T-Rex dinosaur from his other grandparents, and as his Nana said 'It's one of the ugliest things' she's ever bought for one of her grandchildren... Well... Madalynn LOVED it... she kept playing with it & kissing it... Oh boy... I guess she's well rounded.

Just a side note disclaimer...

1) I do take photos of other people besides Madalynn, however, I don't like to post them if they haven't given me permission.

2) I've added a watermark to my photos based on this what happened to this...family.  Total craziness.

New member of the family...

My parents got a puppy!!  She is so cute!!  I can never remember the breed, but she is tiny.  They brought her by tonight & Madalynn just LOVED her!!  Her name is Chatham.  She is so soft.  I said to my Mom she's like a Webkin.

Life of a SAHM (Stay-At-Home-Mom)

Well for 1 week I got to enjoy what it would be like to be a stay at home Mom.    We've been super busy but it's been great.

The other day Madalynn was 'helping' me clean.  I walked in her room to find this...

I guess the penguin needed some alone time.  It cracked me up.... I laughed out loud.

Yesterday we drove to visit a woman we met on our pick up trip to Guatemala.  She was there picking up her son, and we just connected.  So, she was in this area visiting her sister & we got together for a visit.  Unfortunately, the kids kept us so busy yesterday that we didn't get any pics of them together.  We did walk around my alma mater Eastern Nazarene College (or 'The Naz" as we called it).  Why was it smaller than I remember?  Then we walked down to Wollaston beach where you can get a view of Boston... not my best shot, but I didn't have my zoom lens w/ me.

They had some beautiful flowers on campus too...

Then today we went to b-day party for the son of some friends of mine.  Madalynn LOVED the ball pit...

It's tagline reads "It must be hard to love an adopted child as much as your own". It's a horror movie about a couple who adopts a girl through foster care. It obviously has a very negative message about adoption.

End of May...

Today's the last day of May but the weather tonight feels more like the last day of September... super windy, and cold, although the day was beautiful aside from some downpours.

This is a shot of all the flowers lined up together... I think once the planters fill in it will be okay.
