Memorial Day

I feel like I've gone non-stop all weekend, and I had Friday off!  It's been a whirlwind between days of cooking & shopping to get ready for the luncheon yesterday, and then today we were up and out early again to head back to my hometown for their annual Memorial Day parade w/ my parents,  and brother & his family.

The highlight of the day was driving back to my parents for a cookout, and I had all 4 kids with me in the car.  They BELTED out 'It Ain't Me Babe' by Johnny Cash... all of them belly laughing, and singing at the top of their lungs (well as much as Madalynn can sing... although she got the "No, no, no" part down pat).  I told my Mom it was one of those PURE moments in life... a sunny shiny day, my favorite people around me,  singing at the top of our lungs, not a worry or concern in the world.  One of those moments that don't come around often.

A thank you to all our military, and their families past & present for the sacrifices they make everyday for the freedoms we all enjoy.   The freedoms that make the moment described above possible.
