We're so ready for Christmas around here... made 2 batches of cookies today, did more loads of laundry than I can count (and by 'do' I mean I put clothes in the washer, and moved them to the dryer... getting them folded & put away is another story entirely), changed sheets on both beds, and made chicken & dumplings in the crock-pot (all with a baby girl who only took a one hour nap). I also had moments of pure delight with my daughter, and sheer frustration (sugar cookie cut-outs with a 2 year old... oyyy). Focusing on the positive though there was a moment at the kitchen counter making Christmas cookies, Christmas music playing, and she was so excited, and cute I just got overwhelmed with love in my heart for her... I got all teary, and gave her an extra tight hug. I still can't believe I get to be her Mom. I also got a video of her singing "When Christmas Comes to Town" from the Polar Express soundtrack I'll try to post later. Wrapping, and a couple craft projects left on the 'to-do' list, not to mention getting in 40 hours of work in by Wednesday.

OH NO - I just made dough (yes at midnight) and put it in the fridge for making cut out cookies with Sophia tomorrow. Your post is scaring me. LOL. You think I would have learned from today's mistake - thinking it would be fun to wrap gifts and have Sophia (also 2) help.
Hey girl, after the holidays, when you have time, could you e-mail me your crockpot recipe for Chicken and Dumplings if it's one you like? Sounds good to me!
Thanks, Karen
PS - I understand about the laundry ... how can one person add so many loads to the to do list.
