My Babe...

I just had to blog this before I forgot it... it's one of those Mom moments I pray I'll treasure forever. Tonight after putting Madalynn down after a particularly trying day (I've discovered she NEEDS to expend physical energy, and being couped up in the house doesn't fill that need). Anyway, I'd put her to bed, then went into my room to fold laundry, while there I put my hair up in a clip. I could hear her out of bed so I went in to tuck her in again, and remind her it was bedtime. I put her down, covered her, gave her a hug & a kiss, and this is the conversation that followed...
Madalynn; "Mummy what'y do hair?"

Me; "Oh, I just put it up in a clip."

Madalynn; "Can I see? (I turned my head for her to see the back) Oh... good job Mommy"

Me (letting out a little laugh & smile); "Thank you sweetie"

Madalynn; "Like an angel"

To be seen as an angel in the eyes of my daughter... particularly after having what I feel like was a 'Mean Mommy' day. Melt my heart.

Now... I'm heading back into her room b/c from that splashing sound I'm guessing she got the top off of the humidifer....
